Pixurethis Media was founded by Helena Yago in 2012 with a vision rooted in storytelling, culture, and community. With a bachelor’s degree in film from Wayne State University, Helena created Pixurethis Media as a platform to capture authentic stories and give people the opportunity to share their experiences in their own voices.
What began as a creative media venture has evolved into a purpose-driven company centered on preserving stories, documenting history, and creating meaningful connections across generations.
Today, Pixurethis Media specializes in Legacy Video production, helping individuals and families preserve the stories, memories, wisdom, and experiences that might otherwise be lost with time. More than simply recording a person’s history, our Legacy Videos capture something photographs and written records cannot—the sound of a voice, the expressions behind a memory, the laughter, personality, and presence of the person telling the story.
Pixurethis Media also produces community-centered media, including 313 Frequency and HPCIA, creating space for conversations about culture, community, politics, history, and the issues affecting Detroit and Highland Park.

Helena Yago is the founder of Pixurethis Media, where she serves as Podcast Host and Program Director, leading the vision, content, and creative direction of the company. With a bachelor’s degree in Film from Wayne State University, Helena brings a strong foundation in visual storytelling combined with a deep commitment to preserving voices and documenting real-life experiences.
Since founding Pixurethis Media in 2012, Helena has built the company into a platform that bridges legacy storytelling with community media. Through legacy video production, she works to preserve personal histories and lived experiences, ensuring that stories are not lost but passed down through generations. As the host of 313 Frequency and the HPCIA podcast, she creates space for authentic, unfiltered conversations centered around culture, politics, and community life, particularly within Detroit.
In addition to her work in media, Helena is an herbal consultant and the owner of Taygete Botanicals, where she focuses on natural wellness, herbal education, and plant-based remedies. This work reflects her broader commitment to healing, community care, and holistic well-being, which also informs her approach to storytelling and engagement.
As Program Director, Helena oversees the development and structure of all content, ensuring that each project aligns with the mission of truth, storytelling, and community impact. Her approach is both intentional and people-centered, focused on creating meaningful dialogue while maintaining a strong standard of quality and purpose.

Natalie Yago serves as a dedicated Legacy Curator for Pixurethis Media, bringing a thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply engaging approach to every interview she conducts. With a natural talent for connecting authentically with people, she creates a safe and welcoming environment that encourages individuals to share their stories openly and honestly. Natalie is committed to ensuring that each voice is truly heard and that every story is captured with respect and sensitivity. Her warm presence fosters genuine conversations, allowing the emotional depth and significance of each narrative to emerge naturally. DJ Vicious Vic – Audio/Video Producer & Podcast Host
DJ Vicious Vic is the driving force behind the sound and energy of Pixurethis Media’s podcast platforms, serving as the Audio/Video Producer and Podcast Host for both 313 Frequency and HPCIA. With a strong presence rooted in Detroit culture, Vic brings authenticity, technical skill, and a deep understanding of music and media to every production. His ability to shape sound, control the atmosphere, and keep conversations flowing makes him a key voice and creative force behind each show.
As the owner and DJ of www.InYaEarRadio.com, DJ Vicious Vic has built a platform dedicated to music, culture, and real expression. Notably, he was also the first DJ at WHPR, a milestone that speaks to his longstanding presence and influence in Detroit’s broadcasting scene. His experience in radio, broadcasting, and live DJing translates seamlessly into podcast production, where he blends audio precision with engaging dialogue. Whether he is behind the boards producing, or on the mic hosting conversations, Vic creates a space that feels real, unfiltered, and connected to the community.
Known for his sharp ear, strong personality, and commitment to keeping it authentic, DJ Vicious Vic helps bring the vision of 313 Frequency and HPCIA to life. His work ensures that every episode not only sounds professional, but feels alive, capturing the voice, rhythm, and truth of the community.
William Arrington – Cinematography & Media Production Director
William Arrington serves as the Cinematography and Media Production Director for Pixurethis Media, bringing a high level of technical expertise, creative vision, and real-world production experience to every project. With a strong background in both live event coverage and community-focused media, William has developed a versatile skill set that allows him to adapt seamlessly across different environments and storytelling formats.
His experience includes working on College Football game productions, where precision, timing, and high-quality visuals are essential, as well as producing content for the Detroit Athletic Club and a wide range of churches and community organizations. This diverse portfolio reflects his ability to capture everything from large-scale events to intimate, meaningful moments with equal professionalism and care.

His attention to detail, understanding of lighting and composition, and commitment to quality ensure that every project is visually compelling and professionally executed.
